Calling all Cub Scouts to the Pinewood Derby Sat. March 19th 9 a.m. at the Stake Center
But wait! All cars must be preregistered with Brother Bennett the week prior. Call and then come to his house Mon- Thur from 6-8.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. on Sat. Race begins at 9:30 a.m. Sorry it's so early, but we must clear the building no later than 2 p.m. , so we need an early start. The derby can take a long time.
Bears will be doing the Flag ceremony.
Please do not play with your cars after the race. Take good care of them so that they will be in top shape for the district derby. Even if your car isn't a top winner, someone may not be able to attend district and you may get a chance to go.
District Derby:
They have changed the rules so only to top two will be racing at district. Since the change has come so late, they are going to try and have mock races for the next three top winners. A decision should be made soon. Contact is Rhonda Mitchell 253- 682-2217
Cars will not be preregistered, so come in at least 30 minutes early to weigh in. It is Sat. March 26th at 10 a.m. at the old GI. Joe's building in the Lakewood town center. Parking lot is on the corner of main st and 59th Ave Sw.
