For their Outdoorsman badge, the Webelos had to participate in a campfire activity. They had to build and put out a fire, prepare a meal and clean up after. The boys chopped potatoes and carrots and wrapped them in tin foil (Micah cut his finger and got to practice the first aide he learned for his Readyman badge). They put the vegies and some chicken in the fire to cook while they made and ate smores. Unfortunately, their leader is ignorant to the amount of time it takes to cook in a campfire, thus we had to leave before the food was cooked. The Webelos ended up eating tacos from a nearby stand. Thank goodness the requirement didn't say they had to eat their meal. LOL
