Webelos Conservation Project

Despite snow in April, three Webelos from pack 494 showed up to help make Dupont beautiful. Miles Robertson, Brett Layer & Micah Gale enjoyed spreading beauty bark around trees and the garden bed at the park in Edmonds village off of Center Dr. They also put their skills with a shovel to work as they strained to dig out grass and weeds from around the trees. After having some yummy hot Coca, they counted the rings on a fallen log. Mr. Estep is going to mark the rings with historical events so that residents can see how big the tree was when that event occurred. I have pictures of these fine boys working, but have temporarily misplaced them. I hope to post them soon.
